Edesia, makers of MeWe Baby, is a nonprofit food company located in Rhode Island. Founded in 2009 by a mom driven to help solve a huge global health problem with practical solutions, Edesia’s mission is to help treat and prevent malnutrition in the world’s most vulnerable populations. The company, which employs about 100 people, is named after Edesia, the Roman Goddess of banquets and plenty. It’s a symbolic name that represents how Edesia aims to help nourish the world’s over 220 million malnourished children through lifesaving ready-to-use foods and the important awareness that this malnutrition crisis exists. Since 2010, Edesia has helped reach about 9 million malnourished children in over 50 countries.
