Our Mission
100% of MeWe profits help us put an end to childhood malnutrition worldwide. Since 2010, we have supplied life-saving, fortified peanut blends to humanitarian aid agencies like UNICEF, World Food Programme, USAID, and other NGOs working in emergency and conflict zones. Our foods have reached over 13 million children across 58 countries, and we are just getting started.

Meet the founder
In 2007, our founder Navyn Salem traveled to her father’s birthplace of Tanzania and discovered that poor nutrition contributes to half of all deaths under the age of 5. As a mother of 4 young girls, she decided that something should be done. Malnutrition is a global health crisis that is 100% preventable. She learned about Plumpy'Nut, a fortified peanut paste that was proven to treat the most severe cases of malnutrition. She built a factory that runs 24 hours a day and can make 1.5 million packets of these special life-saving foods to serve the needs of the children who suffer the most.

From Navyn
Over the years, my friends and family asked if they too can use Plumpy’Nut. My nephew Henry wasn’t growing at the same pace as his friends, my best friend Annie was going through chemo and needed extra nutrition, and my 92-year old neighbor Anthony stopped eating and was losing weight. It was all of these needs that inspired me to launch MeWe in an effort to deliver the nutrition you need most during the many ages and stages of life.
